Switching from Limitless.
Meta acquired Limitless in December 2025. Pendant sales ended, the team moved to Reality Labs, and existing devices are supported through 2026. In the EU, the UK, Brazil, China, Israel, South Korea and Turkey the service stopped on 19 December 2025. If any of that describes you, here is what to do, written plainly.
First
Get your own data out.
Do this before anything else, and do it whether or not you come to us. A recording you cannot export is a recording you do not own.
01 / Export
Pull your transcripts and notes out of the Limitless app while the account is live. Support runs through 2026 in most places and has already ended in several.
02 / Keep the file, not the link
Save the export somewhere you control. A link into a service that is winding down is not a record.
03 / Then choose a replacement
Unhurried, with your history already safe.
What changes
A pen instead of a pendant.
It is worn differently
Nothing hangs around your neck. It is the pen already in your jacket, and it writes in real ink the entire time it is recording. You still say what it does; you just do not have a screen or a lanyard doing the talking for you.
It does not need the cloud to capture
18 hours of recording onto the pen itself, 64 GB, no phone unlocked and no network. You sync when you choose to.
There is no subscription to lose
$0 a month, no tier, no minute count. The thing that just happened to your Pendant cannot happen to a plan that does not exist.
Your memory opens to your own tools
Read-only access over MCP from Claude, Cursor, VS Code and Zed. If we ever went away, your notes would still be readable from software you already run.
Straight answer
Why believe us and not them.
You should not, on a promise. What you can check is the shape of the thing: capture happens on hardware you own, with no network, and the memory is readable over an open protocol from tools we do not control. That is not a pledge about our intentions. It is what makes your notes survive us.
