Scriben for sales teams

Hear the buyer.
Keep the signal.

Your call recorder covers the calls. Scriben covers the rest: the site visit, the dinner, the corridor after the demo, the conference floor. It is a real pen, it records the room to its own storage, and afterwards the follow-up is already drafted.

Where deals are actually lost

The buyer tells you what matters while you are deciding what to ask next.

The phrasing behind an objection often carries more than the objection. Who has to sign. What already failed here once. The date that is real versus the date that is aspirational. It goes past in seconds and it is not in your notes.

It happens most in the conversations no recorder is in: the walk to the lift, the second half of a dinner, the customer site where nobody opens a laptop.

A meeting bot cannot follow you to a trade show. A pen already lives in your jacket.

Where it earns its place

Discovery, site visits,
follow-up calls and demos.

The four conversations that decide the number. A meeting bot was invited to one of them.

A seller leaning in to listen across a meeting-room table while the buyer takes notes

Discovery

The phrasing behind an objection carries more than the objection, and it is gone before you can write it down.

A seller and a customer walking and talking through the customer’s own workshop floor

On the customer’s site

Nobody opens a laptop and no bot was invited. The pen was already in your jacket.

A seller at a desk on a follow-up call, writing a short line in a notebook

The follow-up call

The number they said, the date they hedged on, and who else has to sign.

A seller on a video call at a long table, a notebook open beside the laptop

Demos and reviews online

The half of the call that happens after the screen share stops.

The alternatives, honestly

The bot was not invited
to the half of the deal
that matters.

Meeting bots cover the calls. They cover none of the dinner, the site visit, the walk to the lift, which is where the buyer says the thing you needed to hear.

A phone on the table

Face-up between you and a buyer it is never only a recorder. It is the thing that might buzz mid-answer.

  • Changes what a buyer will admit
  • Has to stay unlocked and awake
  • Storage full, battery low, call incoming

A bot on the call

It covers the call and nothing else. It was not invited to the site visit, the dinner, or the walk to the lift.

  • Nothing off-camera is captured at all
  • A banner tells the room it is recording
  • Useless where no call was scheduled

A pen in your jacket

Everyone already knows what a pen is. Nobody watches it, and nobody performs for it.

  • One press, then you forget it is running
  • 18 hours, recorded to the pen itself
  • No phone, no network, no app open
  • It writes on paper the entire time

How this works for you

Your next deal,
site visit to signature.

One deal, from the site visit nobody recorded to the renewal call six weeks later.

  1. Thursday, 11:20 am

You are on their site. No bot was invited, no laptop is open, and the pen is in your jacket.

  2. Thursday, 11:44 am

The real objection lands in half a sentence, phrased the way only they would phrase it. You keep listening.

  3. Thursday, 6:15 pm

Your follow-up is drafted in their words, and the number, the date and who else has to sign are already in the CRM.

  4. Six weeks later

Renewal call. What they cared about in March is in front of you before you dial.

You get to quote them back to themselves, because you were listening instead of typing.

After the conversation

The follow-up is written
before you reach the car.

Scriben drafts the work the conversation created, and waits. Nothing is sent, logged or created until you approve it. You review a queue, not a sent folder.

  • Pain“We lose about a day a month reconciling it by hand.”
  • Timing“It needs to be live before the quarter closes.”
  • Process“Finance signs, but only after the security review.”
  • OpenA question about migration that never got answered.

Illustrative conversation. Nothing here comes from a real customer.

Then, with your approval

Scriben drafts the reply in Gmail, logs the meeting to HubSpot, opens the Linear issue the conversation created, and puts the next step on your calendar. Each one is a card you accept or discard.

Connected today: Scriben MCP, Zoom AI Companion, Google Calendar, Slack, Gmail, HubSpot, Linear. Jira, GitHub and Notion are available to connect. Asana, Dropbox, Airtable and Cal.com are marked coming soon in the app.

What you get back

The whole call, six ways.

One QBR, from the words that were said to the follow-up sitting on the pen. Every call you take arrives like this.

TranscriptEvery line of the call, with who said it and the minute they said it.

The instrument

Carried, not set up.

A full day of meetings on one charge, with no phone required while it records and nothing to open when a conversation starts unexpectedly.

Before you buy

The questions reps actually ask.

Does this replace my call recorder?
No, and it is not trying to. Gong-style tools cover the calls that happen inside a videoconference. Scriben covers the conversations that do not: in person, on site, at events, over dinner. Most teams end up with both.
Does it connect to my CRM?
HubSpot is connected today. A meeting can be logged to it from the app, and you approve that before it happens. Salesforce is not available. If your team runs on Salesforce, treat Scriben as capture and follow-up rather than CRM automation for now.
Does anything get sent without me seeing it?
No. Drafts, logs and issues sit in an approval queue. You accept or discard each one. Nothing leaves on its own.
Do I need my phone during the meeting?
No. The pen records to its own 64GB storage with no phone and no signal, and syncs over Bluetooth afterwards.
Can it handle a multi-person room?
Yes. The transcript is speaker-aware, so a four-person meeting reads as four people rather than one wall of text.
What does it cost, and what is recurring?
The pen is $199 and the launch offer takes $100 off it with code SAVE100, so it is $99 once. Scriben Intelligence, which covers memory, summaries, the Morning Brief and approval-gated actions, is $12.99 a month, with the first month included. The pen still writes and still records if you cancel.

§Recording and consent requirements vary by jurisdiction and setting, and some customer sites have their own policies. Record openly, ask first, and follow the rules that apply where you are.

The deal moves in the half hour
no bot was invited to.
